WELCOME TO THE FOURTH ANNUAL
A simple idea remains.
Bring established Scotch whisky online commenters, creators and voices together to nominate the best whisky we can enjoy together as a community.
Ask our global Scotch whisky-loving community to vote. Our aim, once more, is that this fully independent model celebrates the best quality, value and accessibility in whisky. The 2024 OSWAs will launch on August 22nd on the vPub here. You can catch up on the previous session below:
Let’s talk about 2024
The format used in the 2023 awards will stay the same. With one small tweak - we will canvass the community to assist in the nominations process; shifting everyone’s involvement up front and throughout. After which, it’s over to the familiar structure of curation and public vote. Same as last year.
You cannot pay to enter these awards. We do not accept bottles or samples. These awards are chosen by the community and celebrate the whiskies we are enjoying together.
The Trifecta Award
NEW FOR 2024
In 2023 we announced the Trifecta Award. This comes into play from 2024. This award recognises the incredible achievements of brands, products or producers who have won a category for three consecutive years.
They are invited to step forward in the fourth year and automatically receive their Trifecta Award, while announcing the successful winner of that category in their absence.
